Best Dad in the Universe

As I'm trying to post June events, I better post Father's Day before July. I didn't do much for Brant on father's day, with moving and interviews it just got pushed to the back of the list.

About those interview questions, greatest accomplishment, a time when you resolved conflict, you know all the ones. If Brant we're interviewing for a position he already holds as "DADDY" He would be extremely overqualified. If all those daddy moments could be put in a portfolio it would have to be huge & incredible!

This is him kissing Ria after her Play (Painted face & all)! In my opinion Brant is the best Dad, Heath adds in the universe! I have so many pictures in my mind when I just stop and watch him in awe!

He does the dad thing with ease, patience & a smile. Always found teaching, wrestling, reading, hugging & laughing with the kids. when our kids wake up in the night or if they are sick the first name they call for is Dad.

If ever there has been a time when character was tested it is now, and He blows me away with his ability to balance to keep his priorities. I don't know another dad in the Universe with the integrity Brant has. I'm so grateful for the priesthood leader he is in our home, I will forever be telling my kids how lucky they are to have a dad like they've got. I don't know how I got so Lucky but whether it's father's day or any other day. Thanks Brant the world needs more Dads' like you! You are the best!
The ultimate dad scene just this month as we finally got the training wheels off, Thanks to Brant's dad skills, she is riding like a pro!

Idaho Reunion

Every summer we try to make it to Brant's Mom's family Reunion. It is always a good time and great food, not to mention the scenery of the beautiful Teton Mountains! Kanani got the best pictures of the reunion hope she shares. Grandma's sister Arnene made purses for all the little girls, They also got to pick out a painted rock to put in their purses, Ria loved it!

The picture is of Grandma helping the girls decide. Also that same weekend I was so excited I got to stop by and see my friend Brooke and her beautiful new baby boy Rye! Congratulations Brooke!

Monkey Business

We are so grateful for the sale of our house but moving is less thrilling! So we began by packing up and putting things into a storage shed until we know for sure where we will land.

One of our monkey's was the best helper, so we met Grandma & Grandpa a little early so the final packing would go a little smoother. See how much help he was?

So we finished the final packing and cleaning loaded our vehicles and headed to a play?

Rianne was in the play Jungle book as a monkey.

If I knew how to shorten a video to add it to a blog you could check it out L

They made them change so quick I never got an individual picture of her in her costume, she did a fantastic job!

After the play, a few more goodbyes, I held together pretty good until Rianne had to hug her best friend goodbye. They were both really having a hard time saying goodbye. As we walked away Rianne said "mom it hurts" all I could say is "I know I'm going to miss them too!" I wish I had those wondermom kisses that make everything better!
We just love Alison and we are really going to miss both her and her mom Jodi.
So that was our final act of Rock Springs!
I may not miss Rock Springs but there are so many people I'm really going to miss in Rock Springs!

We drove that night to Brant's sister Kanani's house stayed there. (Thanks Kanani & Kelsey)

Then off to beautiful Kanab with Brant's incredibly kind parents until we secure other employment!

Martin's Cove

On Friday we went to Martin's Cove. Because of the move we are going to miss our ward doing the Trek so we really wanted to go, even if we didn't get the full experience. It was so awesome! It is about a 5 mile loop up to the cove and all the stories, Really is miraculous that even one from that party survived. Natalie came with us which made it even better! I am not sure if the kids understood much but they liked the picnic! This is all of us in the picture Heath's little head is coming out of Brant's elbow!
The hardest part for me was a little bit of a surprise, Natalie got a picture but I don't have one. Brant insisted I get in the handcart, while he pulled me & the kids up a sandy hill, Natalie was the angel in the back. I was fine until I could see Brant really struggling, I said "I can get out honey" he repeated "No I want to do this". It must have been so hard for the sick to ride emotionally, to be an added burden. I guess it really hit me because that is what I feel like with Brant that I hold him back and add burdens to him. It was just physically demonstrated in the handcart. We did make him get in once and we all pulled through this easy part of the trail, It was work for me. I thought of the pioneer story of the little lady like 5'2" or something her husband says he can't go on she says I'm not going without you and pulls her 200 something pound husband up a hill. I am not Pioneer like. Anyway it was a great experience! I better get Back to packing!
