Tooth and Nail

The pioneers had it tough they fought tooth and nail for everything and made countless sacrifices.  We study them to inspire us to fight tooth and nail and sacrifice for our future.

We went to the Stake pioneer celebration played some pioneer games.  Then we went to the grocery store.   Apparently Heath didn’t jump enough.
He was messing around after several warnings to calm down Karma came at him he tripped and knocked out his teeth!  (Broke 2 front Chiclets).  Which served him right but that little bit of pain actually turned out to be a discovery.  Luckily my dentist was willing to come in on a Saturday for a quick fix.  When we went in later for the real repair an x-ray found a black spot which turned out to be a cyst either in gum line or jaw bone the oral surgeon is looking at it for a 2nd opinion and we will monitor to see if we can get it to shrink or if we will have to do surgery.  It has been growing for a while as it is pushing on and moving some teeth.  I was upset with the news, thinking of the pain, the money etc. Telling Heath about it when He added his pearl of wisdom “All things work together for our good mom” We can be grateful we found it, (Gratitude IN ALL things) Even if it was a hard fall to get to that discovery.

“Difficulties come into our lives, problems we do not anticipate and which we would never choose. None of us is immune. The purpose of mortality is to learn and to grow to be more like our Father, and it is often during the difficult times that we learn the most, as painful as the lessons may be. “ Thomas S. Monson

The Faith of a Child my little pioneer man!  Brant is a pioneer for lush lawn in Arizona he is fighting tooth and nail for it!

Freedom Rains

It cannot be overstated… I love a small town parade, where the parade route turns around so you see it twice J.
I always say that there is no better way to celebrate our freedoms by running out in the street, taking candy from strangers and then running with fire aka sparklers!
But the best way to celebrate the 4th is in small town America!  My favorite small town is Kanab,
where you can make a splash rope swinging off the back of truck into the pond or just a puddle!
Even if the firework show gets rained out you can still enjoy campfire or porch sit with grandma!
